Ms. Córdova has a Doctorate in Jurisprudence from Catholic University of Ecuador and is an Attorney in the Courts of the Republic of Ecuador. She has a degree in Constitutional Law and Political Science from the Center for Constitutional Studies of Madrid (1989). She has also received a Masters in Comparative Law from Complutense University of Madrid (1990).
The Spanish Ministry of Education and Science has recognized Ms. Córdova´s Law degree from the Catholic University of Ecuador as equivalent to a Bachelor of Legal Sciences degree received in Spain.
Ms. Córdova has completed the Executive Management Program at the Central American Institute of Business Administration (INCAE) in Nicaragua and she has participated in Arbitration and Mediation courses in Ecuador as well as Harvard’s Theory and Tools for Negotiation course (Conflict Management, Inc.) in Cambridge. She has attended various courses and seminars about International Law, Economics, and Intellectual Property, among other subjects, in Ecuador, Spain, and Mexico, and at Menéndez Pelayo International University, the University of Zaragoza, Vitoria-Gasteiz University, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Madrid. She has dual Ecuadorian and Spanish citizenship.
Ms. Córdova has published a number of works: “Protección de Derechos de Autor”, Lex Mundi magazine, World Reports, Volumen VI. “Conciencia y Libertad Religiosa”, Editorial of the University of Complutense of Madrid XXII, 1989. She also co-authored the book "El Menor ante la Ley", National Editorial Corporation - Ecuador, 1991.
Ms. Córdova worked as an associate at the Quevedo & Ponce Law Firm between 1994 and 2004 and she was also the Director of the Center for Arbitration and Mediation of the Antonio Quevedo Foundation from 1999 to March 2004.
Currently she is the Secretary of the Arbitration Tribunal of the Chamber of Commerce of Quito.
She speaks Spanish and English.
