ablo Alfredo Andrade Andrade
Mr. Andrade earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Polytechnic School of Ecuador.
He also completed postgraduate studies in Industrial Projects with the Inter-American Development Bank, in Economics with the University of the Andes (Bogotá, Colombia), i Social Psychology at the “Enrique Pichón Riviere” School of Social Psychology (Madrid, Spain), and in English as a Second Language at the Jarret School (Cambridge, England).
Among the diverse positions that he has held are Director of the Administrative Council of PETROECUADOR; General Manager of the Forestry Corporation of the Association of Industrial Timber Merchants, Forestal Esmeraldas S.A. (FORESA); Project Manager for Industrias Cemento Guapán; Project Director of the “Social Investment Fund of Ecuador” (World Bank); Spokesman for the Board and Executive Commission of the National Financial Corporation; President of the Employment Rehabilitation and Protection Committee, MICIP; Advisor to various Ministers and the Monetary Board of the Ministry of Industry, International Commerce and Fisheries with respect to Industrial Policy, International Commerce and Integration; Technical Financial Advisor to Cemento Nacional S.A.; Operations Manager at GEMSA; Commercial Representative and Advisor to the Ecuadorian Embassy in Spain; Assistant Manager of Urban Development and Productive Sectors at FONAPRE; International Official in the Vice Presidency of Projects at the Andean Development Corporation (CAF) - Caracas, Venezuela; and Consultant to ONUDI.
Mr. Andrade has a solid formation in diverse fields of Business Administration as well as ample experience in the preparation, evaluation, administration, and accounting of projects from various industries and economic and social development sectors. He has also worked as an expert evaluator for various banks and financial organizations.
In addition to his formal studies, Mr. Andrade has participated in specialized courses about Secondary and Tertiary Petroleum Recovery and the Analysis of International Petroleum Markets and Price Fixing, and he has been a consultant and instructor in the petroleum sector.
Mr. Andrade has worked as a Professor at Simon Bolivar Andean University, the Catholic University of Ecuador, the National Polytechnic School, the University of the Americas, the Ecuadorian Center for Business Training (CEFE), and the Institute of Banking Practices (IPB).
He is affiliated with the College of Mechanical Engineers of Pichincha, a member of the Forum on Petroleum, and a contributor to the economic magazine EKOS.
Mr. Andrade speaks English and Spanish.
